A Glass of Stout. . .

Hi, I thought I had better get a quick post in. This time of year is always hopping in the tourism/web industry and so I am finding myself at the computer for extended hours. But I do enjoy the design bit so it’s only half a curse.

And speaking of stout.. . . It’s that time of the year again when I have to start running on the tread mill, doing sit-ups, and lifting weights. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I hate it. But up here in Wisconsin when the the winter closes tight in around you sometimes you have no choice. Well, you have a choice not to do anything about it but I have been there and I don’t like the result. For those of you who just happened here I will tell you what everyone else already knows. . .

About 3 years ago now I weighed about 295lbs. I could barely fit my hide into a kayak and I wanted to do more than just “sit”. So the fast answer is ‘diet & exercise’. Don’t you hate that answer?? Me too, but that’s it. I cut down to 1500 calories a day and walked, then ran 3 miles a day with an 8 mile hike on the weekend all on the trails of Devil’s Lake State Park

Anyway, now it’s back to the routine of every new year for the last few. But growing large again is not any option. . . 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. . . .
