Hey Alex,

I know what you mean. And then as JB keeps reminding me there are all the "soft" skills. Off the water stuff like Navigation, weather, etc.,

That's a big reason I keep wanting to do more certifications. It helps me stay focused on moving ahead and learning to be "well rounded". A lot of it has to do with what your goals are. I think if I was not teaching, I may not focus to much on all that other stuff and I'd be spending more time just having fun myself.

But. . . On the other had I can remember when roll practice was not fun because I just couldn't do it! I think some of the draws are very cool, and I'm sure when I get them down I will feel much better about practice.

Are you paddling this weekend? I think I'm going down to the REI paddle sports expo in Milwaukee.

I wish I had the discipline to practice things such as hanging/static draws, sweep strokes, forward strokes, etc. I typically practice mainly rolls, braces, and sculls because they're fun. I need to remember to occassionally work on the less glamorous skills as well.
