Who is the Queen of Kayak you may ask? Well Anna Hemmings of course. According to Canoe Focus Magazine world champion marathon canoeist, (kayaker for those of us on this side of the Atlantic). Anna Hemmings recently received her prestigious award at the “star-studded” Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards in London. The Awards honor outstanding achievement in women’s sports in 10 categories and include a public vote for Sportswoman of the year.This comes 2 years after Anna was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Tell me she’s not an inspiration!!

Ms. Hemmings must be proud to have her picture right under the big bold type that reads ” Queen of Kayak”, but karma also finds balance as we know. If you look at it another way her picture is the first thing you see after you read the column header. . . “Paddle This”. . .
