every day, every day

Yep, there’s that silly SOB out on the lake again. So we want to learn to be good at this stuff eh? Well, the best advice I can give anyone is that practice time is directly related to talent level. (at least that gives us no-talents some hope) Some people are very talented and almost instantly look like gods on the water, others are always getting worked. When I talk to my 5 year old about getting good at something, I tell him you’ve got to practice “every day, every day”.

My my, but is that laddie sporting Reed’s fine water gear? Looks like he might be… Does it count if he wears the coloured stuff, I wonder…
On another topic, wouldn’t it be fun to have one of those site ‘hit’ counters with the world map on Wendy’s site? It would be fun to see how far and wide she’s being followed. I have one on mine and am freaked to see I got a Greenlander, someone from Pond Inlet and a couple from northern Norway. Great fun!
That’s a good idea! Was that a freebee? What’s the link? I pay like 4 bucks for my flags.
Yeah, I love my Reed. . but I’m going to order an all black one pretty soon!
Hi-
It’s a freebie. Go to my site, click on the little map and a sceeen will open from which you can register for a map and get the html to paste into your site code wherever you wish.
practice is key, i have a hard time explaining that to Gabriel too. He watches me dribble a soccer ball and thinks he should be able to do it without practice. I try explaining that I dribbled a soccer ball for hours and hours over 30 years to be able to do it. (Mediocre as I am). Anything easy just isn’t worth doing.
You, Alex, and Simon inspired me back to practicing my rolls and skills again, I sort of fell off the wagon for a while due to work. But I can’t let it get away from me. I am so close to the forward forward hand rolls I can smell it.
yeah, keep at it! I’m just happy to get ANY forward roll!! I’m crazy about practice, but truth be told it’s just because it’s play time for me. “Practice” is just an excuse to play in the water!!!
