Ladies of the Lake
Listen, strange women lyin’ in ponds distributin’ swords is no basis for a system of government!Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses,
not from some farcicial aquatic ceremony! – python
Well, it’s about that time again. That time when the women leave all of us strange male types home and gather for their own Sea Kayak Symposium. (Wenley may be purchasing a spyglass and a plane ticket as I write this. . .) The third annual Ladies of the Lake Sea Kayak Symposium will take place August 17-20 at St. Ignace Michigan. Guest Speakers include Cheri Perry, Glenna O’Doul and Jesse Hadley. You may also get in your BCU 3 star training with Bonnie Perry, trips to the Les Cheneaux Islands, and a plethora of clinics to boot. For more information and Registration Visit Their Website.
Now to be fair you poor dejected male types can go along too and your special needs will be addressed by Danny Mongno. Or maybe what I mean to say is “Women are welcome to bring their “entertainment” as daycare is provided”.
PLEASE CALL 906-226-7112 to sign up!
By the way if anyone is going from Wisconsin drop Mary an email. She may be heading up and would’nt mind having company.

In another un-related note: I have to wish Freya, Dubside and the gang all the best at the 2006 National Kayaking Championship in Sisimiut, Greenland. (blog) Now I know kayakers are all nice, friendly, non-competitive types. . . But here’s hoping Freya kicks some. . . . .!
