but I went to see my mom in Ensenada,
and I left a little something to help the time go by
Just a little something to help to keep you high”

Stuck in my cabana, living on Bananas & Blow

With only 11 days until the doors open, I’ve been thinking about how all the fine ladies at
Canoecopia this year are going to be sooo busy. Made we wonder what we could do to help? So I proposed a Canoecopia Volunteer Cabana Boy list. Everyone who could handle a day of abject servitude, could sign up (yeah, you can include a photo if you must), and the ladies could just draw a name or number and select a “PA for the day”. You could run for coffee, make healthy snacks, give foot rubs and all that other stuff their husbands and boyfriends have grown weary of doing.

At the very least I’m sure
someone could use some help carrying boxes of DVDs. Or maybe someone would volunteer to carry
Freya’s paddles around for her. Hmmmm,
Wendy K might just enjoy having a bunch of big muscular guys to carry her around on their shoulders. Less wear on the shoes ya know! Oh, and we mustn’t forget the ‘buga” ladies either. Tell you what, I’ll sign up first. Maybe I could serve tropical cocktails and help find wayward floor plans. (yeah, I’m gonna burn for that one. . .)
Oh and speaking of Canoecopia when not playing personal Cabana Boy myself, I should be hiding out at the Door County Symposium Booth along with other folks you’ve heard mentioned here before. Silbs, JB, & Nydia will all take turns hanging out and making sure that only 200 select souls sign up for this year’s Door County Symposium. Suffice to say if you plan to come to that party you should sign up at the show if possible. Not only will you learn a lot, paddle a lot, and eat a lot, you can help patrol the campfire and make sure Derrick displays his usual good nature and sober character.

C. boys? I thought they were called gofers
And, I don’t hang out. I shall preside at the symposium desk on Friday and Sunday. :>)
Aaaa… I can’t come back from Florida now! It’s just warming up and, besides, I’d rather be out paddling. I really don’t see carrying anyone around at my age.
Sign me up! At least will be around to meet some folks. I’ll definately stop by the Door County Symposium booth to say hi.
I like this Cabana boy idea!
I still think that a calendar is in order (and I’ll leave it at that)!!!
Hmmm. . .wonder if Santa will make an appearance to fill Wendy’s Christmas wish?
you know that Calendar has been in discussion for probably 2 years now! Just got to get all the ladies to agree on it!
hmmmm…cabana boy!?
this could be good for buisiness-kqp
