Well, if you ask me, kayak sledding is much safer than those little saucers. Here’s a video. or you’ll find it at the very bottom of the video page on the website.

And, where’s the video of the crash, you know how everyone watches the race for the crashes. So, Mary won’t be slepping boats at Canoecopia this year–some people will do anything to get out of that! Hope the healing goes quickly Mary!!!

Well, I did almost pull off a back deck roll once!
Mary got a nice avulsion fracture on the inside of the thumb. She went over a jump and came down on the hand. She was on her way down to film us coming down the hill so I didn’t have the camera. She actually was not sure what she did as it didn’t hurt badly at first of course. But my the time I came down the hill she was starting to feel it.
poor mary! hope her thumb gets better soon. i went snowboarding this past weekend but i think that kayak sledding looks pretty fun too!

well, I’m not sure if it’s safe but compared to those saucers it seems down right calm.
Sheesh! That was all like, fun and stuff, and then, like you see Mary sitting there in like, a cast, and you’re all like, oh no!
It’s like, all fun and games until, like, someone gets an eye put out, or like, a thumb avulsed.

D-kam, that is a neat video but I notice the kid on the saucer doesn;t us ethe “brakes” as much as you with the blade. You may need a skegged yak to stay upright with less braking.

I forget the band or song (Alex Chilton?), but recognize it from my crippled youth. Hey, that Saloon place where Justine has the T3 premeiere, maybe that has some live tunes, eh?
