where the rubber meets the road monkey

This is simple. Fill up the car. Pack for a few days. Pick out a t-shirt to wear for Canoecopia. I hate wearing T-shirts by the way. I remember when I worked at Wollersheim winery. I gave tours and always wore baggy dress pants, white shirt and mult-colored thin ties in a single Windsor knot. Then of course we got a new shop manager that thought wearing ties and the women wearing dresses was way to “snooty”. We went to jeans and t-shirt. Some people of course can wear t-shirts and “wife-beaters”. I am not one of them. Mr. Blackwell could write a column.

So tomorrow we will be working on setting up for the show. I’ll sneak out for a time to pick up Freya and Greg and then return. . . well unless I can convince them to stop at Fyfe’s Corner Bistro for a drink. Barring that I’m back to set up in the evening. Of course there is more fun set up for Friday as well. Then Friday evening the big show take off. Justine Curgenven will be speaking at 4:30, & Wendy Killoran at 7:30 along of course with many other great speakers, Ben Lawry, Mel Rice, Mark Schoon, & John Bauman just to name a few.

For those of you not attending I hope to be able to post a bit each night. We’ll see.
