Iceland Update

Hi Guys,
I just got back from Kayak Week in Two Rivers Wisconsin. I want to share some troubling news from Iceland. We have not heard from Freya Hoffmeister and Greg Stamer now since yesterday morning. I’m informed that a full Search and Rescue Operation has been active for about 9 hours. Suffice to say, everyone’s a little concerned at this point, but there is no reason to think they are not fine other than the lack of contact. I will keep you posted as soon as we learn more.

Thanks for the update, Derrick. I received an email from Greg just the night before he left for this trip, and he was, even up to the last minute, helping me with my GP technique and hand ergonomics. That makes me feel particularly close to Greg’s trip. I will watch your site intently as a source of news. Please do tell us if there was/is inclement weather in Iceland, in case your sources tell you of such. CD1
