A great weekend for yard work -- After getting out of bed a bit after 0900 yesterday (I had worked 17.5 hours Saturday), I sat and drank the coffee my wife had waiting for me, sat and read parts of the newspaper that my wife had already sorted and had waiting for me.

At 0945 my wife went out to rake the leaves and mow the grass, I'm still in the waking up process--but I got off the couch and did some stretching and my usual morning exercises.

In case anyone who doesn't know me is wondering about this strange behavior -- I do the cooking and grocery shopping (well most of it) and Oz (my wife) does the yard work -- well most of it -- it helps keep my allergies in check!

Yesterday was a great day for yard work ;))) I missed out on paddling this weekend with the work on Saturday, and my usual paddling partners camping in Door County, so I had a nice lunch at Sven's where I was able to read some of the latest issue of Ocean Paddler. Followed by a meeting with a local paddler who has a paddling invention he's working on -- some armchair paddling is what I did.

I believe Steve has it correct. If I should ever get such a sick urge, I would paddle until it went away.

It takes time to master the art of ignoring yard work in order to go paddling, but with some effort you can do it

You're losing it Derrick. There is no such thing as a good day to do yard work! Go paddling. Snow will soon cover the yard and whatever you might think needs doing there.
