With all the stupid acronyms floating around its both refreshing and stunning that a government agency, the mother lode of acronyms,is actually attempting to discourage one. If the USCGS has decided that PFD is no longer SOP and people still use it, I guess they are DSOB's. I’ve always used life jacket.
