We took it in turn to climb up on the ledge and hook our hands over the top,   then work our way to the end of the wall avoiding the cold water below.  At the end of the wall we leapt over to the sandy beach.  Of course this was a ridiculous amount of effort just to keep our shoes dry. In fact all we needed to do was walk around the building instead. On the other hand it’s often those ridiculous moments that actually make life worth getting up for.
