Torso by Simon

I don’t know why I never noticed this before.  It seems we’re always trying to demonstrate the difference between arm paddling and torso rotation. Well here you go.  Run over to the homepage of Sea Kayaking Cornwall and look at that little looping video of Simon Osborne paddling. To avoid distraction just watch the bottom of his PFD.  That’s rotation.  If you stare at it long enough you will either achieve a higher state of consciousness or at the very least better visualize torso rotation.  Oh and by the way Simon will be continuing his Madagascar Circumnavigation after the first of the year so keep an eye on their website for that as well.

  • Marius says:

Another thing to pay attention is to the relative movement of elbows to the back plane. If that is a bit difficult, draw imaginary line through shoulders and look at how much the elbows move in relation to that.
