. . . Not sure why I never came across this site before. Well, maybe I did and Alzheimers has just taken over! But regardless here’s a website you may find interesting called Kayak Paddling. Everything the beginner ever wanted to know about kayaking all nicely animated in quick loading “Flash”.
Of course the downside of a project like this is that our ideas of what works and what doesn’t changes over time. And of course if we’re worried about liablilty when it comes to teaching in person or on video, an animated website might come back to bite you as well. Still though; great idea, great presentation. Well done, Well done!

I have seen these images used in the Ocean Paddler magazine and meant to take a look at the website but forgot. Thanks for refreshing my memory. It’s a superb resource despite the potential downsides you mention.
I noticed it was available to download or grab on a CD. I went for the download at £4-70 (about $8) more as a way of thanking the developer for the resource but I am sure having an offline version will come in handy.
