It’s 5 AM this Christmas Morning, December 2008 and as is usually the case this time of day I am wide awake and the house is silent except for the sound of the fan blowing warm air into my otherwise frigid office. By now I’ve been up long enough to have thought I’d made coffee that would be ready when I got out of the shower, had taken the shower, and found I forgot to put water in the coffee pot! Time passes in strange ways before the dawn!

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and allow me to let my hippie roots show and also wish you peace. . . (if just for one day.)

The holidays are important to us for many different reasons. Yet what we all share in them is that they are a centering moment for us and our families. They help us to stay grounded and touch what is most important in our lives. The best wish we can give in our diverse world is that these days are as enjoyable and meaningful as each one of us hope they will be.
