good thing?

It’s sometimes those subtle things that can do the most damage. Like this reporter saying that it’s a “good thing this one leaves the water” when reporting the catch of a shark in the waters off Florida’s coast. Although Hammerhead sharks specifically are assumed not to be a threatened species, we certainly don’t want to promote the idea that the killing of sharks is always a “good thing” simply because it’s one less shark.

Wisconsin Winter

Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I’ll be home for Christmas

Sledding into Darkness

Not the usual “send money to so and so” sort of stuff that tends to make our hearing go bad, but a couple simple, easy, very local things we could do to help local kids have a better holiday. It’s funny sometimes how we can donate to global causes while letting the kid down the street go without supper. Anyway to climb off the soap box, Saturday was the day we went and did those little things ourselves.

Say somethin’ funny. . .

Just a comment. A famous comedian once talked about the pressure to perform when out in public. Where random strangers would come up and stare at you expecting you to be well, funny. Thing is, sometimes even clowns just don’t feel all that funny.
