But Mr. Horrible says, “I don’t mind
The thing that bothers me is
Someone keeps moving my chair”

It’s great when I have a bunch of stuff to write about. It certainly feels better than those days when I sit down here at the keyboard and realize that the only thing standing out in my mind is the ticking of the wall clock. On the other hand, if you’ve got lots of bits to write about you tend to either overlook the important stuff while getting lost in the manushia or find yourself distracted by the cool stuff at the expense of the boring but useful. . oh, and speaking of boring . . .
It seems my kayak repair has succeed. YIPPIE!!! If you’ve been following along you’ll remember that I was re-installing a bulkhead between the cockpit and the day hatch on my Rockpool Alaw Bach. Well, after slathering on the adhesive and putting the bulkhead back into place I had to wait seven days for it to cure. Last Sunday was seven days. Sunday afternoon, with the kayak’s center section standing on end, I got out a pitcher and filled my day hatch with water and waited. We are now at 4am on Tuesday morning without out a leak. Of course this is a simple test that does not take the flexing of the hull into account. Tomorrow will be the big test as I take my baby out on Lake Columbia which heated by a coal power plant is the only open water in my area short of the local swimming pool. A bit of banging around should give me a better idea how she goes. . . (I had an uncle say something like that once, but I think he was talking about something completely different.)
