After months of cold and snow, a day of driving through fog and heavy rains is actually quite wonderful.

Honestly the road to St. Charles is nothing to write home about normally. Certainly nothing to write you about.  Just farm fields, tree farms and clusters of McMansions.  The heavy clouds and fog however have given the highway a bit of a personality.

I know you have always wondered where Pete’s famous hot dogs are hiding.  It’s here my friends.  Right here.

The sky drew darker as we came into a more built up area.  Great building!

Arrived at the Holiday Inn Express.  It’s what I’d Call Faux Swank.  Gotta get cleaned up and get ready to do that presentation.  You can guess my set up. . . ” He’s never actually done a REAL sea kayaking expedition. . . but he is going to stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight”.
