28 Days

“28 Days” is that one where Sandra Bullock goes into rehab. “28 Days Later” is sort of post apocalyptic horror flick where an incurable virus ravages the UK. (Just in case you were getting the two flicks confused). Sometime in less than 28 days, Valley will introduce their new website. I think they should have done one of those cool countdown clocks with some foreboding music loop playing in the background… Maybe even embed a heart-pounding trailer staring Gillan Anderson…
I’ve got like 3 posts I want to get done by Friday and here I am winding up Valley Sea Kayaks! Sorry..

still puzzled why VCP could not leave the “old” site up while the “new” one will be eventually launched.
Now, if I was a prospective customer of Valley kayaks I would have a hard time to get some info on their boats, wouldn’t I?
If their philosophy is to create “hype” and interest… well I am not entirely sure it’s working for them.
On the other hand maybe some drastic IT glitch shut the old site down?
You must know what has been posted on the main forums. Looks like that for the old site there were problems beyond their control with the hosting and related issues at a time their new site was almost ready. Agree that a direct posting on screen about “why” could have been better but at least they are getting there.
Regarding wanting a new boat, your spring weather in Australia makes for a different perspective. In the northern hemisphere, it’s more like the over-stock bargain season these days… They were lucky it happened at the end of it.
As for hype, you are looking in the wrong direction. There are other companies that are way ahead on that score. If anything they need to hype their products a bit more. Long term they cannot solely rely on the fact that they are effectively offering a superior product.
