Looking for Mr. Goodwave

“Maybe there’s something over there!”  Nope.  The running joke of the weekend was that the most recent 1 footer to go under our hulls must have been at least a “4″.  In the end, for students looking to upgrade their coaching level to an L4 the weekend was pretty much a wash out. As a cruel joke nature provided a beautiful weekend for paddling instead of the nasty one we were all hoping for.

Of course a bad day on the water is always better than a good day at work.. even when it’s actually a good day… So we spent the weekend reviewing our paddling, modeling, & teaching methods and seeing what sort of information the other coaches had drawn from the last 4 years or so of their experience.  (It’s amazing to see how new coaches can over a few years, move in such totally different directions in their careers.)  But more on that later.. At the moment I have to sort through 4 days of email!

Need to get that right elbow UP! Should be in the same plane, or more nearly so as the wrist and hand: shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger-tips in alignment!!!

    Wait, that’s me . . .

It was a great weekend! Even if we only got an occasional 2 foot wave. I’d love to see more of your photos.
