Amazing weather here in Grand Marais on the shores of Lake Superior has made for a wonderful first day.  The picture above is of Gryphon (age 9) out by the GM lighthouse for the last night’s sunset paddle.  He and one other young person joined the group.

It’s been great to see the whole Michigan Paddling entourage that I’ve not seen in about a year, and Freya as well who I’ve not seen since before her little Australian vacation.  She even signed a copy of Seakayaker Mag for me!!  I asked what she thought I could get for it on the open market. LOL!

Today I’m off to teach.  I’ve no idea what I’m doing yet, but I’ll find out at 8:30 am.  Gryphon is off to join the kids classes. It’s pretty cool to see him finally enjoying his kayak.
