I’m not even sure what I want to say about this.. other than if I ever wanted to beat Ben Lawry upside the head with it, I’d have a good grasp of how committed I was when I did it… (sorry Ben, you were just the first guy to come to mind… not sure what that says… but, well…

I can imagine this (and its companion rowing oars with similar strain gauges) would make a wonderful tool for coaches to torture athletes with (as if ergometers weren’t bad enough…) – not only do you have to go fast, but NOW you have a force curve to match. Oh, my…I am feeling very sorry for all those elite racers out there…
