Life’s been a blur recently.  It seems we’re running around doing everything from paddling to watching the stars.. No rest for the weary as they say.  So tomorrow I’m off to Michigan for the Qajaq Training Camp in Michigan which means a 3 hour drive across the state, then another 4 hour ferry ride across Lake Michigan followed by another hour’s drive up to Camp Lookout.  Long day.

So I was pretty sure I was going to take the BB Valkarie over to Training Camp, however after I spent some time out rolling it yesterday I’ve decided I’d rather have my Alaw Bach.. Weird Eh?  Well, The lower back and the higher volume on the Rockpool just seem to work better for me when it comes to rolling.  I’m also going to take my cheater boat as well.   Stay tuned…

  1. Very cool. Hope you can sleep on the ferry. I’ve been on the fence about an upcoming Greenland rolling camp myself – it would be a 6-7 hour drive for me. Why are they always so far away from most of us :) ! Maybe your post will motivate me to fall off the fence . . . soon! Thanks. Good timing. I hope you have a good trip with good weather and warm water. Cheers from Canada.
