Come to think of it, you have made many valid points about living in a territory that is freezing most of the time throughout the year! But don't you think you'd be missing winter when the sweltering heat is beating down on you during the summer if you moved to a hotter, more humid place? BUT the perks are you can paddle anytime without worrying about getting hypothermia lol!

Wow that is amazing! Why did it take so long for someone to really put this genius idea into reality? This would definitely be a big plus for every gadget techie out there, especially for paddlers and extreme water sports enthusiast who bring along their cameras and phones on their adventures.

I work completely out of a home office as a blogger, photographer and the only building I have for my guiding business is a storage unit. On the guiding side on the north shore, I'd have to plunk down $300,000+ to get a building anywhere near Lake Superior's shore, so it makes much more sense for me to meet up with my customers and launch from wherever we meet. That also gives me flexibility to easily guide different parts of the shoreline as I'm not tied to one building.

So, I think that the idea that the ability advertisement should be tied to floor space is bunk. For the outdoor pro, the woods is your office space.

Mind you, DJ - those field-use laptops really ARE pretty indestructable. Our EMT's use them up here, and I've personally witnessed them skidding down the pavement without anything more than some scratches on the case!
