Facebook Face-Off!

Who are you?
Who, who, who, who?
Who are you?
Who, who, who, who? – the who
A Facebook page is a free, no brainer way to market your company. Not having a Facebook page today suggests either a unique marketing mindset or lack of it… Some companies see social media is a way to really connect with their customers, provide better customer support and as a way to reach out to the next generation as well. Some companies simply feel they don’t need or have the time to deal with social marketing. I’m in the first group in that I think some companies will be regretting their lack of connection now in about 10 years or so.. but that’s my opinion and I could certainly be daft as brush… Continue reading
Technology in the Land of The Snark

As the people here grow colder / I turn to my computer / And spend my evenings with it / Like a friend.
I was loading a new programme / I had ordered from a magazine: / Are you lonely, are you lost? / This voice console is a must.
I press Execute.

I keep saying I’m going to get this review done, but then I find myself getting dragged away to do something else. That happens sometimes. It’s life. Sometimes I find myself simply thinking about so many other things that it’s hard to focus on the stuff I should be thinking about. That’s life too. In that regard I don’t think I’ve changed since elementary school. It seems my attention is often captured by something going on outside the window… Wait.. Did I use the word “I” again? It must be another case of rampant narcissism.. That’s life too as it happens.
A day in the life
I read the news today oh, boy
Four thousand holes in blackburn, lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all

Beatles Trivia will tell you that the line from, “A Day in the life” quoted above was based on a 1967 article in the Daily Mail about potholes in the roads. Geologically potholes are holes worn into the rocks when pebbles or cobbles become drill bits in hard swirling currents often found at the bottom of eddies and in plunge pools at the bottom of water falls. The potholes pictured above are at the top of a 400 foot, stone, stair climb at Devil’s Lake State Park and were created over 10,000 years ago when the glaciers of the last great ice age stopped and melted right on this spot. These formations are a beautiful sight to see for those up to the climb. Oh man, now I got off track… I think I was going to say something about Facebook…

This is major Tom to ground control, I’m stepping through the door
And I’m floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
Here am I floatin’ ’round my tin can far above the world
Planet Earth is blue and there’s nothing I can do – bowie
