It was the SOFreya2 all the way from Germany. The boat is the folding version of her SOFreya Skin-On-Frame that was built by Hakola Dippel based on a pattern of Björn Thomasson’s Black Pearl. Freya helped build the number 2 and made it just a bit wider and even flatter on the back deck. Now the big question.. would I fit in it? Better yet, could I get it back together again?

This one, is coming to live here with me. The Black Beauty #2 is a folder that you've seen her use to perform her crazy headstand to bow gymnastics. I've got the headstand down, but the rest... fuggitaboutit!

Freya Hoffmeister of Germany completed her sea kayak circumnavigation of Australia!! Amazing! Wonderful! Well done!

Ok, here's the math... Freya completed the trip in 322 days. (245 paddling days). Only Paul Caffyn has done this trip before her. Paul did it in 361 days (257 paddling days). Now if you are into math you'll see, she beat Paul's times on both counts.. (Something I'm sure never entered her mind.)
