I know many of you expect me to post photos from the various great lakes symposiums each year. Well, I finally have 107 Door County Sea Kayak Symposium pictures ready. This was an interesting symposium season for me personally this year, especially the last two where I actually only did one class with one student. No kidding. At Door I spent the whole of the event doing day trips. Not a bad way to spend your time actually. In the course of three days I paddled each side of the peninsula and the tip from Death’s Door to Washington Island. Suffice to say, out of the 107 pics, very few are from the actual symposium!! Home & Dry

It was almost 8pm when we heard the sound of our driveway gravel snapping and popping under our wheels after almost 8 hours on the road from Grand Marais. This morning will be spent clearing out the gear, garbage and oder that can collect in your automobile after a few days at a sea kayaking symposium. So for the moment let me just share some pictures from the 2010 Great Lakes Sea Kayaking Symposium & the wonderful landscapes & seascapes of the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore region. Never Stop Learning!
In the end we always get back to the paddling! I have just posted my 2008 Optimist Sea Kayak Symposium Photo Gallery here. By the way it’s really hard to sort images down to something manageable! Even then I still had 74 pictures which I thought at least sort of captured the event. Later I’ll post images from our off the water adventures.

Not much to report today other than we are AGAIN being buried in a snowstorm. I updated the February Lake Michigan Ice gallery. John B. was kind enough to send me the pictures he took. So now there are actually pictures of me as well. Wow that roll woke me up! Fun, Fun!!
