Sometimes they think I’m just stupid. Could be. I'm not sure actually what he was demonstrating, but I think it was something about paddles. I hope it was about paddles. Either that or he's making a tropical observation on current state of Wisconsin politics...

(Amazingly some folks got back to me in just a couple hours!!) I’ll be showing off the new boats over the winter while most of us are stuck indoors roasting chestnuts, playing Madden NFL 10 and dreaming of Canoecopia. (Our Australian friends on the other hand will be out surfing!!!… Grrrrr!!!) BTW, If you are producing a funky new kayak you’d like to show off now just tell me all about it at derrick@kayakquixotica.com, and send along a really nice picture or two. I’ll do my best to pass it on.. But be warned… I know a few harsh critics!

You know the spot. It's the one where your child has grown out of kid gear and is not ready for adult gear. This is the point where almost nothing made is the right size for them. It's also the point where their interest in the sport is cemented or lost. There has got to be something wrong with that.
